What types of vehicles do you offer?
At Haapiti E Rent, we offer a range of electric vehicles suitable for your mobility needs on Moorea Island. Our fleet includes electric scooters and electric cars, providing an eco-friendly way to explore the island while enjoying a comfortable and convenient driving experience.

What documents do I need to provide to rent a vehicle?

A valid driver’s license: You must hold a driver’s license that is valid in your country of residence, and if it is not in English or French, an international driving permit may be required.

A valid ID or passport: This is needed for identity verification.
Can you deliver the vehicle to our hotel or the airport?
We do not offer vehicle delivery. However, if you are near our agency, we may be able to pick up the driver only (not the vehicle itself). Otherwise, you will need to come to our agency in Haapiti to collect your vehicle.
How can I benefit from free vehicle recharging?
To enjoy free vehicle recharging, simply visit our partner snack bar, Family Pizza, in Haapiti. While you relax and enjoy a meal, your vehicle will be recharged at no extra cost. It’s the perfect way to recharge yourself while we take care of your vehicle!
Do I need to pay a deposit for the rental?
Yes, a security deposit is required for the rental: 50,000 XPF for scooters and 100,000 XPF for cars. This is a pre-authorization hold on your card, not an actual charge — the funds are simply blocked temporarily and are released automatically after the vehicle is returned in good condition, with no damage. A Visa card is required for this pre-authorization. Please note that the exact process and release timing may vary depending on your bank.
What is the range of the vehicles?
The electric scooter offers a range of up to 120 km with one rider, or 70 km with two riders, depending on usage conditions.
The electric cars offer a range of up to 200 km, depending on ideal usage conditions.
Please make sure you will be able to charge your vehicle at your accommodation. Our vehicles plug into a standard household outlet — no special charging box is needed. The scooter must be charged every night, for a minimum of 6 hours. The car can typically be charged every other night, depending on your daily mileage.
If charging at your accommodation is not possible, you will need to bring the vehicle back to our agency each evening for charging — we will take care of driving you back to your accommodation each night at no extra cost.
Please note: the scooter charger is not water-resistant at all and must be kept dry. The car charger, on the other hand, is water-resistant.
For reference, you can reassure your accommodation host that these are slow charges using very little electricity: a full scooter charge costs about 60 XPF, and a full car charge costs about 700 XPF.
What should I do in case of an accident?
In case of an issue, please contact our assistance service immediately. Our team is available to respond quickly and help you.
All our vehicles are insured; however, a deductible may apply in the event of damage or an accident.

What are the cancellation fees?
Cancellation fees:
• Standard cancellation: A fee of 10% applies to any reservation after payment has been made (either partially or in full).
• Less than 48 hours before pickup: No refund will be granted under any circumstances.
• Force majeure cancellations: For cancellations recognized as force majeure situations (such as death, accident, or hospitalization), HAAPITI E-RENT will not charge any cancellation fees.
